These terms of use (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms of Use”) explain under what conditions users may use this Site and make purchases on the dedicated platform.
DOVIX CORPORATION (hereinafter “DOVIX”) allows individuals or legal entities (hereinafter “users”) looking for a professional or individual to carry out a service or small task to be connected.
It is important to note that the connection between service providers and users will not take place directly on the site www.dovix.ca. The site is for informational purposes only and will redirect to the DOVIX application for all service provider bookings.
DOVIX also allows users to purchase goods online or register for DIY training.
Finally, DOVIX engages in the collection and transformation of wooden objects.
Through this platform, DOVIX offers quick and efficient access. By using this site, you agree to be bound by our Terms of Use.

2. DEFINITION
Unless otherwise stated or defined, the following words and expressions must be interpreted as follows:
- “Terms of Use”: refers to this document along with the Privacy Policy and any modifications that may be made to it.
- “User”: refers to any individual seeking to connect with a person or professional and registered as such on our platform, as well as any person accessing and/or using our site.
- “We”: refers to DOVIX.
- “Service Provider”: refers to individuals or legal entities offering to perform the task requested by users.
- “Platform”: refers to this website www.dovix.ca and all its subdomains, including shop.dovix.ca and b.dovix.ca.
- “Privacy Policy”: refers to the document accessible here and is an integral part of the Terms of Use, along with any modifications that may be made.
3. OWNERSHIP OF THE WEBSITE
DOVIX owns this website and is duly authorized to use all rights, titles, and interests associated with it. All elements presented on this website, including content, site design, text, photos, sounds, trademarks if applicable, trade names, logos, and any other content on the site are the property of DOVIX and are subject to the Intellectual Property Act. Any reproduction, publication, or copying of the various contents requires prior written authorization from DOVIX. Our Site is managed and maintained by DOVIX and hosted by IONOS.
4. TERMS OF USE
DOVIX aims to connect two or more users, with one party seeking to have a task performed and one or more others carrying out that task.
The connection between parties does not occur directly on the website but on the DOVIX application.
Service providers wishing to offer services through DOVIX must submit their application via the Dovix application.
Service providers wishing to become DOVIX employees can apply for job postings listed on the Site.
DOVIX offers fair and equitable access to work opportunities for both individual companies, small and medium enterprises, and large companies.
DOVIX also provides a safe and secure platform for online commerce.
5. USER ELIGIBILITY
The user must have legal capacity, meaning they must be at least eighteen (18) years old to consent to these Terms of Use and must be an individual consenting on their own behalf or a legal entity duly represented by a person in authority to do so (administrator or duly authorized shareholder) according to the law governing their place of residence.
Falsifying an identity to use our Site is considered a violation of these Terms of Use. It may result in permanent and irrevocable expulsion in addition to civil and/or criminal prosecution if DOVIX or any other user suffers harm.
6. USER ACCOUNT
Registration for service booking will only take place on the DOVIX application.
However, individuals experiencing difficulty downloading or using the application can contact the Site’s technical support for assistance.
7. COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARKS
The user acknowledges that the information, documents, images, trademarks, services, and other elements published on the Site (hereinafter referred to as “Information”), including but not limited to the presentation and layout of such Information on the Site and any information associated with it, are the exclusive property of DOVIX.
Any use of the Information is prohibited without prior written authorization from DOVIX. Except where DOVIX grants a written license to a person of its choosing for the use of the Information, no license or other rights, whether explicit or implied, are granted to anyone.
Specifically, using the Site grants no rights, titles, or interests in any Information, including logos and other trademarks belonging to DOVIX, which reserves all intellectual property rights related to the Information.
The user or service provider acknowledges that products, services, and documents available online, whether free or paid, are the exclusive property of the Site. Downloading such items, whether free or paid, does not grant the user or service provider the right to reproduce, distribute, or sell them.
Reproducing, copying, manipulating, or selling the derivative products, services, and documents of the Site without prior written consent from the legal owner of these products and/or services may result in civil or criminal proceedings.
The user or service provider acknowledges and agrees that DOVIX owns all rights, titles, and interests in this website, including intellectual property rights, whether registered or not and regardless of where they exist.
8. RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF INFORMATION
No Information from the Site may be copied, reproduced, published, displayed, transmitted, or distributed by any means, except for downloading a single copy of the Information onto one computer for strictly personal and non-commercial use. Reproducing, copying, manipulating, or using this Information without prior written consent from the legal owner of these documents may result in civil or criminal proceedings.

11. RESPONSIBILITIES
The user or service provider present on the Site is fully responsible for any costs resulting from their use, such as but not limited to, data or cellular data overage charges.
12. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
DOVIX cannot be held responsible for breakage, loss, or damage during the delivery of goods purchased on its site.

13. DUE DILIGENCE OF PROFESSIONALS
Service providers wishing to offer their services via the Dovix application must meet the following, non-exhaustive conditions:
- Insurance: Valid professional license if applicable with liability insurance of at least one million dollars (only for certain categories).
- RBQ: Registration in the register is required for work requiring the RBQ license.
- Criminal Record: A clean criminal record is required.
- Qualification: The professional must present a training diploma or a work certificate of at least one year in a company offering such services or pass a practical test organized by Dovix.
- Commitment to respecting Dovix’s values: attention to detail, honesty, punctuality, and respect.
If the application submitted by a service provider meets DOVIX’s requirements and needs, DOVIX will contact the service provider to arrange the next steps.
The service provider will then have access to the dedicated platform, created exclusively for professionals and only accessible to them.
14. USE OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
DOVIX cannot be held responsible for the use of the Site by Users and service providers.
15. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
The User or service provider assumes full responsibility and all risks arising from the use of the Site. The Site makes and will continue to make reasonable efforts to publish accurate and up-to-date Information.
The Site may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors that will be corrected once detected, if DOVIX deems it appropriate, without prior notice. DOVIX also reserves the right to cancel any order made due to such an error.
DOVIX, its employees, directors, management members, administrators, agents, or third parties with whom the Site occasionally partners cannot be held liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Site or for any errors or omissions in the information published on the Site.
If the User is dissatisfied with the Site, the Information obtained, the service provided, or if they do not agree with the Terms, the only available option is to stop using the Site.
16. LIMITED RESPONSIBILITIES
DOVIX cannot be held responsible for service interruptions due to the characteristics and limitations of the Internet network, particularly in cases of interruptions in access networks, technical performance issues, and response times to access the Site’s digital content.
Due to the intrinsic nature of the Internet, the Site offers no guarantee against risks of diversion, intrusion, contamination, or hacking of data, files, and programs. It is the user’s responsibility to take appropriate measures to protect their own data, files, and programs, including protection against computer viruses.
DOVIX or any affiliated entity cannot be held liable for damages, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including passive negligence), product liability, strict liability, or any other theory that may arise from the use of the Site.
DOVIX cannot be held responsible for content that the user may find offensive, indecent, or shocking. Despite the Site’s efforts, missing information and errors may still occur.
17. NO AGENCY RELATIONSHIP
No agency, partnership, joint venture, employer-employee, or franchisor-franchisee relationship is created by these Terms of Use.
18. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
The products and services provided by the Site are available as-is and subject to availability only.
19. OUTGOING LINKS
The Site may display links that direct users to websites outside DOVIX’s control or its affiliated entities.
A link should not be considered an endorsement by DOVIX, and DOVIX cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from visiting a page via an outgoing link.
20. ILLEGAL USE
It is illegal to use the Site’s services for illegal or destructive purposes. This also includes attempts to damage, disable, overload, or otherwise compromise the Site.
Accessing or attempting to access information made unintentionally available to the user is illegal and may result in civil or criminal proceedings.
21. DISPLAY LANGUAGE
According to Article 41 of the Charter of the French Language, all job offers for positions based in Quebec must be posted in French (full content).
According to the terms of the Charter of the French Language, which is law in Quebec, French is the official language of Quebec. Therefore, any person who owns or wishes to establish a business in Quebec must comply with the Charter’s requirements. Anyone who violates a provision of the law or the regulations adopted by the government under it commits an offense and may be subject to corrective demands from the Office québécois de la langue française, and possibly legal action. DOVIX encourages all its users to comply with the law by including a full description in French.
22. PRICES AND FEES
Displayed prices are subject to change without notice.
Unless otherwise stated, all amounts must be paid in Canadian dollars and at the time specified in the contract between the parties.
23. GST & QST
The amounts listed on DOVIX’s site do not include the Goods and Services Tax (GST) or the Quebec Sales Tax (QST).
Since DOVIX is subject to both taxes, it will add the applicable taxes to the amount due as required by applicable tax laws.
If you are tax-exempt, it is your responsibility to take the necessary steps to obtain a refund or credit for the amount paid from any tax authority, if such a refund or credit is available.
24. PAYMENT
DOVIX relies on Stripe and PayPal, two external payment platforms. These platforms accept payments via debit or credit cards from MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. However, DOVIX reserves the right to change its payment platform, add or remove any payment methods at any time.
By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree that DOVIX may automatically charge your credit or debit card for any amount due due to the use of the site or a purchase made on the site.
If DOVIX is required to take legal action or go to court due to a user or professional’s breach, DOVIX will be entitled to demand the responsible party pay the legal or extra-judicial fees incurred, including lawyers’ fees and expertise, if applicable.
25. APPLICABLE LAW
The Site is operated from the province of Quebec in Canada. Any dispute that may arise between a user and the Site will therefore be governed by the laws applicable in the province of Quebec, in the district of Montreal.
26. WRITTEN DOCUMENT
The user may keep a copy of this written document to accompany the agreed-upon service contract by printing it. Additionally, these general terms of use of the Site are always available on the Site and can be consulted at any time.

28. SCOPE OF THE TERMS OF USE

29. POLICY INTERPRETATION
In the event of discrepancies between the French version of the Terms of Use and the English version, the French version shall prevail.
